There’s Another Blippi — Here’s What Parents Need to Know

Does your child love BLIPPI? Parents should know that a new face is taking on the character as growing popularity means the BLIPPI-verse needs more actors to keep up with demand.
Actor Ben Mayer will join Stevin John and Clayton Grimm as the third face who will play the role. He stars in the new series BLIPPI’S VROOM VROOM VEHICLE SHOW which aired in November.
“We decided to introduce a new Blippi actor because the demand for Blippi content has grown so much that it’s simply too much for one person to cover,” BLIPPI general manager Mike Katzman said. “With more exciting themes and adventures to explore, having another actor allows us to continue delivering high-quality, engaging content at the pace our fans love.”
He continued, “This also lets us dive deeper into the BLIPPI-verse, creating fresh experiences that embody the fun and curiosity our audience expects. We’re thrilled to have an incredible performer join the team, and fans can look forward to seeing Clayton Grimm continue to bring Blippi to life in many more adventures as well.”
BLIPPI began in 2014 when creator Stevin John took inspiration from his 2-year-old nephew’s favorite YouTube channels.
“John decided to dive into the educational video market head first, starting with naming a character of his own. He listed several hundred made-up names that would be easy for kids to pronounce, had repeating letters, and sounded cheerful and upbeat—and Blippi was born,” Parents reported.

The BLIPPI-verse added Grimm originally to do live tours before joining the character’s other platforms.
Now, Mayer is taking on the role as well.
“Team Blippi conducted a nationwide search for our newest Blippi,” Katzman explained. “We auditioned hundreds of actors, and after multiple rounds of auditions, Ben stood out with his ability to make the character his own while staying true to Blippi’s core values of spreading joy and laughter while teaching real-world knowledge and skills.”
Katzman says that Mayer will carry the high-energy persona of Blippi that people know and love but with his own flare.
“The Blippi character is so distinctive, so it was important for us to cast an actor who could embody Blippi’s playful silliness and natural sense of curiosity. But every actor brings a bit of their own style to the role, and we wanted to leave room for that.”
