Thomas Rhett is jazzed about his fifth child on the way — which he shared in a video of his wife surprising him with the news.
On Wednesday, the “Old Tricks” singer shared a clip on Instagram of his wife gathering him and their children to reveal that she’s pregnant.
“Remember the present that we got for daddy?” she asked the kids. “It didn’t come but something else did,” she said as she held up some positive pregnancy tests.
Rhett bent over in laughter and disbelief while their eldest daughter happily exclaimed, “You’re pregnant?!”
“I told you! I told you!” Rhett told his wife.
“Finding out about #5,” he captioned the post. “Saw that phone propped up from a mile away and knew Laur was up to something 😂”

In August, soon after they found out about baby No. 5, Rhett shared a little music video about how he and his wife felt about the news.
He sang, “Well, I was wrapping my head around being a dad a big wrench got thrown in the plans we thought we had and Lauren’s showing/ got one on the way, that’s five under ten/ Hey, what can I say? Life is changing / You wake up ain’t nothing the same.”
“Here we go again! We’ve got some really excited big sisters in our house. God is so good,” he captioned the video.
Rhett and his wife have four daughters: Willa, Ada, Lennon and Lillie.
The couple adopted their oldest child, Willa, from Uganda when she was 18 months old.
“When I met Willa, her story was pretty intense,” Lauren said. “All orphans have heart-wrenching stories, but it felt like this specific baby was ours. I think that the Lord knew what he was doing when he did not let us get pregnant.”
“She was a total orphan and didn’t have any biological relatives, no one. Her life was going to be at the children’s home unless someone else tried to give her a home,” Lauren said. “So I thought, ‘We need to find her a home.’ I thought we’d be the helpers — and then Thomas Rhett said, ‘We’ll do it!’”
Since they went to Uganda to get her, they’ve loved every minute of being her parents.
In April 2022, Rhett told TODAY during the Citi Concert Series that the best part of being a dad of four is “just watching them grow.”

Rhett and Lauren haven’t revealed their fifth baby’s gender yet, but their due date is in March 2026, per Taste of Country.
