Tim Allen ‘So Grateful’ to Work With Daughter on THE SANTA CLAUSES

While Tim Allen has been in the entertainment industry for decades, THE SANTA CLAUSES may be his favorite project yet as he finally got to share the screen with his daughter, Elizabeth.
“I’m so grateful,” Allen told Us Weekly about working with his daughter. “It’s one of those moments that I’ll carry with me forever.”
Elizabeth originally planned to join her father on set as a background elf. However, after impressing the showrunners with her comedic timing, they decided to trust her with a larger role.
“To see the professional that she’s turned into. [She] treats everybody well, shows up on time, does her job…there’s no complaints,” Allen said. “At times I look over there and go, ‘My kid is on this movie with me, this journey that I’ve been on.’”
He added that Elizabeth “works long hours” with her mom on set. “It was a new experience for both of them to do that, and they just worked their butts off and it’s very impressive to watch,” Allen added.
After failing to find a replacement in Season 1 of THE SANTA CLAUSES, Allen’s character chooses his son Cal to be the new Santa in Season 2. However, training his son to be his replacement is not as easy as it first appears, bringing chaos to the North Pole.
While the second season follows the first in promoting family values, it, unfortunately, incorporates witchcraft and magic into the plot.

The first three episodes of THE SANTA CLAUSES: Season Two have many funny, entertaining, heartwarming scenes. Tim Allen’s wisecracks as Santa Claus and as a father are hilarious. He also exudes lots of warmth, however. THE SANTA CLAUSES: Season Two has a pro-family worldview with positive references to Christmas. However, Scott’s daughter starts taking lessons in witchcraft from the local witch. This becomes a major subplot in the third episode of THE SANTA CLAUSES: Season Two.

As season 2 of THE SANTA CLAUSES releases on Disney+, Tim Allen and his daughter Elizabeth Allen-Dick talked about their experience working on set together.
The two began by discussing who forgets their lines more often, with Allen-Dick quickly saying that her father often ad-libs his dialogue. However, she also noted that he adds “value to the scripts,” and because his on-the-spot lines are always good, “technically [he doesn’t] really forget [his] lines.”
They then squared off on who is more likely to show up to set late. While Allen stated that he gets to set first, he quickly changed his answer after seeing the shocked look on his daughter’s face.
“Mom always gets me there early,” Allen-Dick protested. However, her dad shot back, saying, “I’m always here before makeup.” “You do get there early,” the young actress conceded with a laugh.
