Some say that to grow, you must get comfortable being uncomfortable, and author and former NFL star Tim Tebow agrees.

“Are you pushing yourself hard enough to lose? That’s how you grow. It’s okay to fail — just don’t waste it. The only real failure is not learning from it,” Tebow encouraged in a post on Instagram.

That same mindset enabled Tebow to take on big dreams to become a Heisman trophy winner and an NFL star. But, more importantly, that mindset helps him do incredible things today in the name of Jesus.

His most recent undertaking is the Renewed Hope Act which hopes to rescue more children from being exploited by child sexual abuse materials.

On his website, Tebow explains that its goal is “to help build a bigger rescue team of analysts, and investigators to rescue these children.” However, “getting a federal bill passed through Congress is incredibly difficult.”

While at the “Voice for the Voiceless” House Judiciary Committee Hearing Testimony last year, Tebow urged lawmakers to take action against this horrific practice.

“Last night, I got a message from a girl who has been rescued and she said, ‘thank you so much for speaking up for us’…and it was humbling to get that,” Tebow said at the hearing. “But if all we do today is speak…if all I do is speak then I also miss the mark. We have to do more than just talk about it. We have to act on it and be about it.

“My hope and prayer is that today be a day that we wouldn’t miss the mark, that we would hear his cries, and her cries, and that we would hear all the boys and girls calling out and we would answer the call,” he added. “Every single one of the 50,000+ unknown boys and girls are worth us answering the call and doing everything we can so that they can experience the Faith, Hope and Love that they deserve…not the darkness, evil and torture that they’re in right now.

“Thank you, Lord, for this humbling opportunity. I am grateful that we have a chance to be a part of His mission for the Most Vulnerable boys and girls around the world,” the former NFL quarterback concluded.

Last month, Tebow shared more about his fight on Shawn Ryan’s podcast, one of the biggest platforms today.

“There were over 111,000 children trafficked in just the last thirty days,” the former athlete said of sex trafficking in the United States.

No matter what he does, Tebow knows that without failure, he won’t grow. Those who adopt this mindset will truly be able to do all that God has called them to.
