‘Very Honored’: Producer Brad Krevoy Accepts Movieguide®’s Visionary Award

By Movieguide® Contributor

Producer Brad Krevoy recently spoke about the need for “family entertainment” after being awarded Movieguide®’s Visionary Award.

Jack Wagner, who works with Krevoy on WHEN CALLS THE HEART, presented the award to him, saying, “One of the best things about working in this industry with people that you respect and also like. Tonight, I have the honor of presenting the Visionary Award to someone who’s just like that.”

“Tonight’s honoree is a prolific producer in both movies and television,” the actor continued. “He gives us entertaining family movies and series which are not just a commercial success—they also help to lift us up, shining a light into a very difficult world.”

Krevoy then took the stage, saying, “I’m very touched by this. [Dr.] Ted [Baehr], I’ve been coming to this dinner for many years…I learned so much from you, and I think we all learn so much from you. You plant seeds in our minds about what can be and what’s needed.”

“We have 360 million people in our country, and so many of them long for family entertainment,” he continued. “They want to be fulfilled, they want to watch with their kids and they want to be entertained.”

“We’re all with this mission to make the world a better place, and so, for me, I’m very honored to have this opportunity. We all have to stick together because by sticking together, we exercise our First Amendment rights, our religious freedom to do what we’re guaranteed in probably the greatest country in the world. We’re very fortunate to live in this moment,” Krevoy concluded.

He recently produced the popular Netflix romantic comedy IRISH WISH. Star Lindsay Lohan reflected on their working relationship. The pair had previously worked on FALLING FOR CHRISTMAS.

“We had a really great time, and it’s a really beautiful journey, especially because everyone became so close on this movie,” she shared during an episode of her podcast THE LOHDOWN. “It was around the holidays, and we spent Thanksgiving together, and it was a really special experience. That makes a big difference when you’re filming a movie.”

Movieguide® previously reported on Krevoy’s partnership with Sadie Robertson Huff:

Former DUCK DYNASTY STAR and outspoken Christian Sadie Robertson Huff recently signed a deal with veteran producer Brad Krevoy to turn her book, “Life Just Got Real,” into a scripted series.

Robertson Huff announced her excitement for the project on her Instagram.

“Just posted this on my story, but too fun not to share with all of you here too! I really can’t believe my fiction book is about to come to life as a scripted series! feeling incredibly grateful. As always ALL glory to God and I pray God would use this show as another way to encourage people in their everyday life and bring family and friends together…” Robertson Huff wrote.

“From Dancing with the Stars runner-up and Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson comes a fun novel about two teenage girls from different backgrounds and opposite lifestyles who discover there is more to friendship than meets the eye,” the book’s synopsis reads.

The scripted series will follow the same story as the girls learn that “life is messy, love is hard, and second chances don’t come around every day.”
