CBS and Pluto TV recently formed a new partnership, which will add a slew of TV shows to Pluto’s line-up.
A press release from Paramount revealed Pluto TV will launch “its largest-ever full-season promotional preview campaign to date.”
That means, “this September, for a limited time, viewers can stream the just-concluded full seasons of six acclaimed CBS Original series for free, offering fans the perfect opportunity to catch up on their favorite series before new episodes premiere on CBS,” the press release continued.
The shows available to stream on Pluto TV include:
- ELSBETH: Season 2
- FIRE COUNTRY: Season 3
- GHOSTS: Season 4
- MATLOCK: Season 1
- NCIS: ORIGINS: Season 1
- WATSON: Season 1

NCIS: ORIGINS 1.1 and 1.2 earned a -2 rating from Movieguide®. Part of the review reads:
Like its predecessor, the first two episodes of NCIS: ORIGINS focus on conscientious military investigators looking for truth and justice. However, NCIS: ORIGINS immediately separates itself from its predecessor. The prequel makes it clear that ORIGINS will be a more serious program. Gone are the moments of absurdist humor from the side characters. Also, the two-part opening episode is marred by some crude foul language, references to drug abuse and possible occultism, and a bedroom scene between the team leader and his wife. So, MOVIEGUIDE® advises extreme caution.
Pluto and CBS are excited about the partnership.
“This is the most ambitious primetime synergy between CBS and Pluto TV yet,” Amy Kuessner, EVP Programming at Pluto TV, said. “Free, full-season access to CBS’s biggest television series is something only Pluto TV can offer in this way. We’re proud to give audiences the chance to catch up on these beloved series before the new episodes return at no cost, and to demonstrate how Pluto TV continues to deliver premium content through the power of Paramount’s unified ecosystem.”
“We’re giving fans a front-row seat to binge – or sample from – a full past season of six standout CBS Original series, on Pluto TV, just before their big returns during ‘CBS Premiere Week,’” Mike Benson, President and Chief Marketing Officer, CBS, BET and VH1, added. “It’s a win all around – CBS builds excitement, Pluto TV keeps fans engaged and viewers get to relive cliffhangers or discover new favorites.”
Paramount and Pluto TV announced the team up in a join Instagram post.
“Ready. Set. Stream on @plutotv,” the caption read. “This September, for a limited time, you can stream the just-concluded full seasons of six hit @cbstv Originals — totally free. The perfect chance to catch up before brand-new episodes drop on #CBS this fall. All the drama, laughs, and twists you love — none of the price tag.”
According to Variety, the partnership will “mark the first time Pluto TV has offered full seasons of multiple CBS series simultaneously. Previously, Pluto TV has offered the ‘CBS Latest Episodes’ a week after broadcast, providing free and on-demand access to the latest four in-season episodes of hit primetime series from the network.”
This deal is great news for CBS fans!
