GRAVITY rises for a strong top showing
Warner Bros. GRAVITY produced a stronger than expected opening weekend. At $55.5 million it is the highest opening since DESPICABLE ME 2 in early July.
CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS 2 dropped to second with a solid $21 million. They were followed by RUNNER, RUNNER, PRISONERS and RUSH.
GRACE UNPLUGGED deserved better. This is a movie with a tremendous story about a teenager grappling with her faith in a world offering her wealth and fame. It’s a message Miley Cyrus and millions of other teenagers attracted to the world would do well to see. Please, support this movie. It is well made and very inspiring.
