The news is out—WHEN CALLS THE HEART is renewed for Season 12 on Hallmark Channel.

“WHEN CALLS THE HEART continues to exceed our expectations and the number of fans and viewers continue to grow every year,” said Lisa Hamilton Daly of EVP Programming. “Bringing Season 12 to life is a huge milestone and is a true testament to the cast and crew’s hard work and dedication throughout the last decade. We cannot wait for Hope Valley’s next chapter full of exciting characters and storytelling.”

Production on the 12-episode season will start in July 2024.

“Season 11 of WHEN CALLS THE HEART ranks as the most-watched entertainment cable series year-to-date among households, total viewers and women 18+. After four episodes, it is averaging 2.1 million households, 2.5 million total viewers and 1.8 million women 18+,” Deadline reported.

Right now in Season 11, schoolteacher Elizabeth Thornton’s romance continues as she and Nathan Grant’s feelings for each other mount. Governor Lucas Bouchard battles with his past as he tries to develop Hope Valley. Meanwhile, a threat lurks among the town’s residents. Mountie Bill Jack and reporter Rosemary Coulter join hands to figure out what it is.

“I am overjoyed that WHEN CALLS THE HEART is coming back for a 12th season,” said Krakow, WCTH star and executive producer. “Our fantastic writers, cast and crew couldn’t be more excited to begin filming this next season. We are proud to tell stories that warm hearts in homes around the world and so grateful to Hallmark for being such champions of that positivity. Having the Hearties’ support over the past decade has been a true testament to what this show is all about: community and love. We cannot wait for our fans to see what Hope Valley has in store.”

Season 11 currently airs on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET. Its final episode will air on June 23.

Movieguide® recently reported on Season 11:

WHEN CALLS THE HEART actor Chris McNally recently shared the emotional stirrings of the show’s leads, Elizabeth, Nathan and, of course, his own character, Lucas.

“Lucas knows Jeanette well,” McNally said about his character’s friend who visits him in Season 11, “and [he] does not trust her and…I don’t think he fully believes her reasoning for being there or her reasoning for being in Hope Valley. So because he doesn’t know what she wants exactly, he’s just nervous and wary of her and would rather she disappear and leave town as soon as possible. There’s definitely the fact that he’s reminded of…the life he used to lead in the past, and he’s made great efforts to change his ways and has made quite a bit of progress.”

WHEN CALLS THE HEART’s loyal fan base, known as Hearties, has celebrated the show’s renewal.

One Heartie tweeted, “That is awesome news! I had no doubt about it being renewed. So glad and can’t wait to see what’s in store for season 12, but right now, I’m still enjoying season 11! #Hearties #WCTH @hallmarkchannel #McGarries #Season12”

Another Heartie said, “Awesome news on a Friday, so excited we are getting season 12! #hearties @hallmarkchannel @SCHeartHome #season12.”
