Evangelist and motivational speaker Nick Vujicic finally takes his story to the big screen this fall with NO LIMBS, NO LIMITS: THE NICKV STORY, opening in theaters nationwide Sept. 25.

“I wondered what purpose my life could possibly have,” Vujicic said of the day he tried to end his life at age 10. “But I realized that if I ended my life, I would leave my family with even greater pain. I saw in my mind my mom and my dad and my brother crying at my grave, and that one thought saved me. That realization changed everything.”

Born without arms or legs to Serbian immigrant parents who fled communist Yugoslavia, Vujicic spent his early years convinced no good plan could possibly include him. Doctors offered his parents no diagnosis and no prognosis — only an apology that the ultrasounds had missed it.

Fathom Entertainment will release the movie in partnership with Sypher Studios — the company behind AFTER DEATH, the highest-grossing faith documentary in history — along with Reserve Entertainment (BLUE MIRACLE, SIGHT) and the newly launched faith-friendly distributor eKKL Entertainment. Director Matthew Thayer pulled from rare home footage and family interviews to chart Vujicic’s path from a bullied Australian schoolboy to one of the world’s most recognized evangelists.

“Nick Vujicic’s life story is both extraordinary and deeply moving, offering audiences a powerful message of resilience, faith and purpose,” said Ray Nutt, Chief Executive Officer at Fathom Entertainment. “Fathom is proud to partner with Sypher Studios, Reserve Entertainment and eKKL Entertainment to bring NO LIMBS, NO LIMITS: THE NICKV STORY to theatres nationwide, where this inspiring journey can be experienced together on the big screen.”

Today Vujicic has spoken in 83 countries, met with 25 presidents, vice presidents and prime ministers and reached an estimated two billion people through television and media. He’s also a husband, a father of four and the founder of the global ministry Life Without Limbs.

The pivot point in his testimony came in understanding John 9 — when Jesus heals the man born blind. Vujicic has shared with Movieguide® readers before that the passage cracked something open in him.

“What changed my life was not that he healed the blind man — what changed my life is that the blind man didn’t ask any questions, and he didn’t stop Jesus from doing the miracle,” Vujicic told Sadie Robertson Huff on her “WHOA That’s Good” podcast. “That’s when I realized whether God will heal me or not — if I don’t get a miracle — I can still be one.”

He gave his life to Jesus at 15, and the trajectory shifted from there.

Movieguide® has followed Vujicic’s ministry for years, from his collaborations with THE CHOSEN creator Dallas Jenkins on Scripture and disability to his counsel to the American church.

“If God can use a man without arms and legs to be his hands and feet, then God can use any willing heart,” he told Jenkins in a previous sit-down.

The movie does not soft-pedal the dark stretches. Relentless bullying in primary school sent Vujicic spiraling, and his parents — his father a church planter, his mother a nurse — pushed back hard against an educational system that wrote their son off, eventually helping force Australia to rethink disability integration nationwide.

“Going to the big screen is the mission,” Vujicic said on social media. “And the true measure of this project is about the person who watches NO LIMBS, NO LIMITS, and is changed forever in Jesus’ name.”

His hope is to fill one million theater seats. Tickets go on sale Aug. 14 at nickvfilms.com and through participating Fathom Entertainment theaters.
