WHITE COLLAR Gets a Reboot — What We Know
By Movieguide® Contributor
Over a decade after its end, USA Network’s WHITE COLLAR is set to return to television.
The show, which lasted for six seasons, follows con artist Neal Caffrey and FBI agent Peter Burke, an unlikely duo who team up to solve crimes.
“Partially motivated by the streaming success of SUITS, the new show will feature the core cast of the Jeff Eastin-created procedural, as they dive back into the world of art theft and forgeries. The idea of a WHITE COLLAR revival has been in the works for a while now, but it’s officially moving forward this time,” Screen Rant said.
Jeff Eastin, the WHITE COLLAR’s creator, confirmed the show’s revival in a post to X.
“Break a leg @MattBomer! New White Collar script going to the studio tomorrow,” he said.
The series ended with a surprise twist. The main character Caffrey, played by Bomer, dies. However, “after his supposed death, Neal is seen in Paris, France, alive and well, implying that he’s on another job in Europe, which might pose an opportunity for a new setting,” MSN reported.
During previous seasons of the show, Caffrey broke up with his love interest Sara Ellis, played by actress Burton Morgan. Although the couple split after she discovered one of Neal’s “secrets,” she remained in the show until Season 4. Nothing has suggested her return, but some fans hope to see her back in the new reboot.
