Savannah Bananas player Coach Rac shared a new video on his social media page that revealed why he believes there is a revival among professional athletes.

“I can’t help but notice this trend in sports where people are writing bible verses on their hats, being baptized before games, and even players praying around the bases after hitting a home run. What is that all about?” Coach Rac asked. “Well, I have a theory, there definitely seems to be some sort of revival happening in America. But even beyond that, I think the reason there’s so much outward expression of faith and religion amongst all athletes is because, according to the world, these people have achieved, like peak humanity, right?

“The money, the fame, I think the people who have everything quickly realized that it’s all in vain, that even though they have everything, they somehow also have nothing,” he continued. “The people who never reach that level of worldly success, there’s this illusion that if only they achieved their dreams, then they would be satisfied. But the opposite is true. Seems that the higher you climb, the more empty you feel, the more you crave what the world has to offer.

“That’s why the dedication of your life to something greater or something more meaningful is so appealing for highly successful athletes, and I’m here for it,” Coach Rac added. “It’s really encouraging to see. So may God continue to give people a newfound purpose, and I pray that that makes people who live more selfless and loving lives, just like Jesus did.”

Players such as Seattle Mariners pitcher Bryce Miller, Jacksonville Jaguars Travis Hunter, and Tornoto Blue Jays Vladimir Guerroro Jr. are just some of the athletes Coach Rac referred to.

Miller wrote “Isaiah 6:8” on his hat during Game 5 leading up to the World Series.

Isaiah 6:8 reads, “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!'”

Hunter shared a video of his Baptism on Sunday morning prior to his game that afternoon.

When asked why he got baptized, Hunter told ESPN, “It’s Sunday. It’s God’s day. I’ve been planning to go get baptized for a minute. I changed my life over to become a better man.”

In game 1 of the World Series, Guerrero was seen on his knees with his hands in the air and his head bowed as he prayed to God.

A revival is happening in America, and even further, its happening among the best athletes in the world. Coach Rac knows this revival among athletes is happening because even through the fame, the money and the talents, their souls are still searching for more, which can only be found in Jesus.
