Family movie night is about it get even better! ZOOTOPIA 2 will make its streaming debut on Disney+ on March 11.
The movie, which was 2025’s second-highest grossing flick worldwide, will also become available to buy or rent on digital platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango at Home.
“Rookie cops Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) find themselves on the twisting trail of a great mystery when Gary De’Snake (voiced by Academy Award® winner Ke Huy Quan) arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before,” a synopsis of the film reads.

ZOOTOPIA 2 “broke multiple box office records in its opening weekend. It went on to become the No. 1 domestic and international release of the year and the highest-grossing animated MPA film of all time. Beloved by audiences and critics alike, it is now nominated for Best Animated Feature at the 98th Academy Awards,” Disney announced in a press release.
“It’s a great honor to be nominated,” director Byron Howard said of the Oscar nomination. “It sounds cliché to say, but to be a part of the conversation is really great. It’s also been nice to get a chance to meet the other filmmakers from around the world and celebrate really great storytelling from a bunch of different, diverse sources.”
It’s no surprise that fans around the world loved ZOOTOPIA 2. The movie’s family-friendly themes made it accessible and enjoyable for all audiences.

ZOOTOPIA 2 is a delightful, really funny animated adventure and sequel to Disney’s 2016 animated hit. The other animals in the police department, including the Chief, think that the partnership between Judy Hopp, a rabbit cop, and Nick Wilde, the first fox cop, isn’t working. Judy wants to prove them wrong, but Nick thinks they may be right. Judy believes she may have proof that snakes aren’t really bad animals. However, a powerful family tries to stop her from proving that. So, Nick and Judy must work together to reveal the truth.
ZOOTOPIA 2 is an action packed, heartwarming fantasy adventure with loads of laughs and great animation. It has a strong allegorical Christian, moral worldview. It stresses doing the right thing, even if it means sacrificing your life, working together, seeking truth and justice, and overcoming differences through love. However, ZOOTOPIA 2 has a few implied adult jokes, two light profanities, and scary scenes of peril in the movie’s often exciting and comical action scenes. So, MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution for younger children. We suggest ages six and above are more appropriate.
