Chloe is the author of a popular children’s Christmas book series. However, she dreams of writing a novel one day, something her editor doesn’t support. She travels to Noelville for the last stop on her book tour, where she plans to spend the Christmas holiday with her family, who’s just moved there.

In Noelville, Chloe meets Ethan, a bookstore owner and single father to Alex, a young girl with writing aspirations of her own. Chloe grows close to the father and daughter during her time in Noelville. They decorate the local church’s Christmas trees together, advising Alex on her writing and helping Ethan set up a website for his store. Chloe shares her dream of writing a novel with Ethan, who encourages her to be fearless. He also asks her to stay in town to work on her next book. Chloe happily agrees to his request.

However, just before Christmas, her editor calls and tells her she’s been asked to do a reading on a high-profile TV Christmas special. She also needs to announce her next children’s book.
