Noelle gets locked in the store by mistake because of a snowstorm on Christmas Eve. Her guardian angel, Charlie, appears, and says she is there to help Noelle: take a leap of faith, have fun and fulfill God’s plan for her life. Noelle is so used to retreating into the background and forsaking her desires that she struggles with and often rejects Charlie’s nudges in the right direction.
In the process, a handsome fireman, Jake, moves into her building. Charlie hints this is Noelle’s last chance, but Noelle dismisses the fireman until the store owner tells her she’s in charge of the Christmas Fundraiser for the fire station and the very person she has to work with is none other than handsome Jake. The owners of her store want the gala to be very high class and elegant, like the store, but Jake wants it to be fun and energetic.
