What You Need To Know:

In HEADS OF STATE on Prime Video, Will, the American President, and Sam, the British Prime Minister, are placed in grave danger when they’re by a Russian arms dealer who shoots down Air Force One. Surviving the attack, they’re forced to fight their way to safety before it’s too late. However, the villain is tracking their every move. Also, fear of being caught forces them to work without the vast resources normally at their command. Can they overcome their differences to save the world?

HEADS OF STATE is very entertaining. John Cena and Idris Elba make an enjoyable team that’s fun to watch. The movie has a strong moral worldview with Christian, redemptive values It stresses good fighting evil, integrity, courage, forgiveness, sacrifice, and, at one point, prayer. It also has strong pro-American content. Furthermore, the President is a good husband and a strong father. However, the movie’s marred by lots of strong foul language, including many obscenities and several strong profanities. More Detail:

HEADS OF STATE on Prime Video follows Sam, the Prime Minister of the U.K., and Will, the President of the United States, as they fight both for their lives and for the future of the world after Airforce One is shot down while they’re on board. Landing on the Russian-Polish border, they’re forced to use their wits to return back to a friendly country without the people who want them dead finding them. All the while, they face a tight deadline as a vote between world leaders threatens to change the course of geo-political relations forever.

As the story begins, Will and Sam face tensions in their relationship due to Sam endorsing Will’s opponent during the American election. This tension causes a press conference to go sideways as their disdain for each other goes public. To fix the PR nightmare, Sam’s director of communications suggests they ride together on Airforce One to a NATO meeting they are attending the next day. Begrudgingly, they follow this plan and head to Italy together. On the way, however, a team of Russian operatives, led by Russian arms dealer Viktor Gratov, infiltrate Airforce One before attacking it. They manage to take the plane down, but not before Sam and Will are able to exit via parachute.

Though they have survived this devastating attack, Sam and Will are not in the clear as they are on the wrong side of the Russian-Polish border and do not dare to announce their survival to the public before knowing who targeted them. Thus, the pair are forced to sneak across the border before finding refuge at an American safehouse in Poland.

However, Gratov and his team catch wind of their survival. He sends a group of assassins to the safehouse to finish the job. Thanks to the heroics of the safehouse agent, Sam and Will are able to escape and board a train to Germany, where they hope to find refuge. They, however, remain unable to find safety yet also stay out of reach from Gratov and his men. Though the road is bumpy, they are able to reach Italy just before a meeting where NATO will be voted on to be disbanded, which they want to stop.

Their attempt to reach the meeting in time is spoiled by an act of betrayal. The two heads of state must sacrifice their own safety to save the day.

HEADS OF STATE is a very entertaining movie that is enjoyable for anyone who’s a fan of the action or buddy cop genres. John Cena and Idris Elba make an enjoyable team that’s fun to watch. Furthermore, the movie is pro-American.

The movie also promotes strong Biblical values and Will and Sam sacrifice much to protect the world. Not only do they fight corruption, but they also generally stand for good as they combat evil. Furthermore, Will is shown being both a strong husband and a father despite sacrificing his well-being for the sake of the greater good. However, the movie is marred by very strong foul language totaling to 12 profanities, 31 obscenities, and 8 light obscenities. Also, HEADS OF STATE has lots of strong, sometimes intense action violence. So, MOVIEGUIDE® advises extreme caution.
