3 STRIKES

What You Need To Know:

No better title could be given this loser of a movie than 3 STRIKES. Rob is an African-American male recently released from prison. He wants to be clean because he knows he could be imprisoned for good on a third arrest. Outside prison, he is picked up by an armed acquaintance, who gets involved in a gunfight with the police. Rob is able to escape, but knows he is a wanted man – even though he had nothing to do with the crime. Despite plans for fornication, pot smoking and other immoral activities, Rob must figure out a way to clear his name.

This movie is filled with all the terrible stereotypes you can imagine – massive uses of racial slurs, pot smoking, crime, and sexual activity. It adds nothing new to the genre, and further drives it into the gutter. In the end, Rob wishes to come clean with the press outside a church, but his faith is not explored. Of the few that attended this screening, a few left during the middle of it. The target audience seems to be sexually active, African-American former criminals. This movie is completely forgettable, and completely bad.
