More Detail:
MY HERO ACADEMIA: HEROES RISING is an animated Japanese movie about a teenage boy and his class of student superheroes from the Hero Academy, who must step up to the plate in order fight the most powerful supervillain.
Based on a popular Japanese TV series and comic book, the movie begins with a car chase led by The League of Villains. The world is thrust into chaos because the older superheroes are wearing out. The greatest superhero, All Might, has retired. His student, Deku, recounts the story of how All Might became the world’s greatest superhero. His power was passed down to him through the powerful One for All force. The retired superheroes realize they must now ask the next generation of students from the Hero Academy, which includes Deku, to step up and fight against the impending doom.
Deku and his companions from Class 1A are sent to Nabu Island to fight crime. The team is bored by the island’s lack of action until the greatest form of darkness and strongest villain, Nine, invades their island to collect one more main ingredient that will allow him to take over the world.
Although he’s sick with an illness, Nine has the power of the All for One Quirk. This gives him the ability to steal up to nine superpowers or Quirks and use them for himself. He targets two young siblings on the island and pinpoints the younger child as the one who can give him the ninth Quirk he needs to heal his body and continue his goal to subjugate and enslave the whole world.
However, Deku arrives at the last second and saves the young child from Nine’s grip. Deku doesn’t have enough power on his own, though, to defeat Nine. He must rely on his classmates to devise a plan to protect the children and defeat Nine.
