STARTUP.COM

"Of Mouse and Men"

Watch:

What You Need To Know:

STARTUP.COM is an engaging look at the ephemeral life of the typical Internet startup company. This intimately personal documentary focuses on two men, best friends since childhood, who seize the opportunity to create a multi-million dollar Internet company called govWorks.com. Co-founders Kaleil and Tom seemingly allowed the filmmakers unlimited access to record their professional victories and failures.

STARTUP.COM offers a stark look at the realities of business, and the high cost often paid for success. Fierce competition and ruthless corporate espionage are pitted against teamwork and friendship as this fascinating story unfolds. STARTUP.COM achieves a stunning success as a documentary because it observes and captures the emotional toll of the trials and tribulations in business. One co-founder is driven to succeed, while the other rides the wave of his partner’s ambitions. It is almost inspiring to watch these men survive the onslaught of setbacks in their paths. Eventually, one man concludes that family and friendships are of greater value than fleeting fame or fortune. At times, there is greater suspense, emotion and drama in STARTUP.COM than in its fictional counterparts. Regrettably, the language is coarse and the movie presents elements of a false religion
