More Detail:

After some “classic” chase scenes, Tom and Jerry’s comfortable lifestyle turns topsy-turvy when a wrecking ball demolishes their home, scooting them out on the street to fend for themselves in TOM AND JERRY: THE MOVIE. On the streets, they encounter a streetwise mutt, Puggsy and his diminutive co-hort, Frankie Da Flea, who advise them to ignore their differences and be “friends forever.” So, for the first time, Tom and Jerry talk! Then, they befriend Robyn, who has fled her Aunt Figg in search of her missing father. Aunt Figg only pretends to care about Robyn to have access to her trust fund. Eventually, Tom and Jerry whisk Robyn away just in time to have Aunt Figg and her cronies follow them on the chase of a lifetime, which leads them into the able hands of a surprise hero who is sure to take care of Robyn, Tom and Jerry forever.

TOM AND JERRY: THE MOVIE has captured the “TOM and JERRY feel” of the 1940’s in a contemporary setting with brilliant backgrounds and color, excellent pacing, superb effects, and terrific soundtrack, put together by Oscar winners Henry Mancini and Leslie Bricusse. TOM AND JERRY: THE MOVIE is an entertaining family film with plenty of adventure and humor for all ages that incorporates messages of friendship, teamwork, the importance of family, and the dead-end road one takes when his love of money surpasses his love for friends and family.
