Ainsley McGregor is excited to welcome Ellie Mitchum, as true “Yarn Goddess” and former resident of Sweet River, back to town to speak at her craft market. However, before Ellie can take the stage, she’s found dead, and Ainsley is determined to find the killer.
There are a lot of potential suspects. Suspects include Mrs. Wheaton, a Sweet River citizen who claims Ellie stole knitting patterns from her and profited off of them. There’s also Ellie’s children, who might stand to take control of Ellie’s multi-million dollar company. Finally, Ellie’s assistant seems to be hiding something.
Ainsley works with her brother, Ryan, her potential boyfriend, Jake, and the rest of her book club to uncover clues. They find a special knitting needle at the crime scene. There’s also the mystery of who would’ve known about Ellie’s rare allergy to chlorhexidine, the substance that ultimately killed her.
Things grow more complicated after Ellie’s daughter Emma is almost killed in a car fire, caused by someone tampering with the battery. Even more troubling, the company’s board chairman is found strangled with a special circular knitting needle.
Can Ainsley solve the mystery and bring the murderer to justice before they set their sights on her?
