What You Need To Know:

TROLLS BAND TOGETHER opens with Queen Poppy finding out that her boyfriend, Branch, was once part of the boy band BroZone with his four brothers, Floyd, John Dory, Spruce, and Clay. Now, years later, two pop singers named Velvet and Veneer who can’t sing have kidnapped Floyd. They have trapped Floyd in a diamond prison that allows them to sap his talent, almost killing him. Branch and Poppy embark on a quest to reunite the four brothers to rescue Floyd. Each brother is involved in a fantastic situation, and each step along the journey involves great songs, many of which are famous.

TROLLS BAND TOGETHER has great music, great character arcs, an impressive amount of love and humor, and a moral theme of not letting anyone steal your talent. The movie also has a heartwarming theme about loving your family. There is a caution for younger children, because there are some scary scenes as well as the death and resurrection of one character, but for children starting at age eight or older, the movie is an absolute delight, and highly recommended.

More Detail:

TROLLS BAND TOGETHER is a wonderful, heartfelt, clean, moral movie about brothers and sisters learning to love each other so they can defeat two evil pop singers trying steal their talent at the cost of their lives.

In the beginning, the brothers’ band plan on doing their first gig. Baby Troll Branch, aka “Baby B,” is very nervous, and the oldest troll, John Dory, is telling everyone what to do and insisting they have to be perfect. In the middle of their song, they have a glitch and get tied up in knots, ending in a disaster. So, all the other brothers, Floyd, Spruce, and Clay, decide to quit, and John Dory decides to find himself, leaving Branch, the baby troll, behind.

Years later, when Branch is grown up and is partners with Queen Poppy, he finds out his brother Floyd has been kidnapped by two pop singers named Velvet and Veneer who can’t sing. They have trapped Floyd into a diamond prison that allows them to sap his talent, draining him of his life and almost killing him. Branch tries to save Floyd, but Floyd tells him he’s got to get the band together, to sing a perfect song to release him from the diamond.

So, now Branch is searching for his brothers to reunite the band. Each brother is involved in a fantastic situation, and each step along the journey involves great songs, many of which are famous. Eventually, they get to the last free brother, who’s living in a reconstituted but still eerie mini golf park with his wife. His wife turns out to be Diva, Poppy’s sister who was seperated from Poppy in the first movie when she was just born. Diva tries to keep Poppy from going on the quest to save Floyd imprisoned by the pop stars.

When they get to the rock rage entertainment area, most of the team gets trapped by the female pop star, Velvet, who says she planned to lure them there to steal their energy and talent. Branch, Poppy and a friend have remained undiscovered, however.

Can they rescue their family from the evil pop stars with no talent. Can they come together to sing again? Can they free the other trolls from the dastardly machine? In the process, one troll dies and is resurrected by love.
