REVIEW: BLOCKING “THE PATH TO 9/11” is a must-see movie. It tells the story of political liberals in cahoots with liberal media conducting a smear campaign against the TV miniseries THE PATH TO 9/11 though most of them had never seen the miniseries.
The movie interviews the miniseries writer, Cyrus Nowrasteh, in depth, the director David Cunningham, and some key figures caught up in the smear campaign (such as David Horowitz) about Cyrus and David’s attempt, with the help of the Walt Disney Company, the CIA, and the FBI to make a very accurate movie about what led up to 9/11. The trouble starts when half of the miniseries is shown in Washington. The first half that was shown indicates the Clinton administration didn’t do enough to stop Osama Bin Laden. The second half, which was not shown, suggested the George Bush administration didn’t do enough.
Offended by his assumption that the movie besmirched his reputation, Bill Clinton goes on a rampage to smear everyone involved with THE PATH TO 9/11. Five Democrats in the government who never saw the miniseries go on shows like MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann and tell the most incredible lies. Sandy Burger actually removed some documents Clinton had made notes on, stuffed them in his underwear and then shredded them, and the liberal press didn’t care. Clinton and his sycophants deluged Disney with demands to stop airing the program. They even threatened to take some of ABC’s licenses away.
This assault on freedom of speech and truth is the worst form of the evil of censorship and is highly Marxist, although they may not have thought of it in those terms. Ever since Alexander Hamilton argued the Croswell case in 1804, freedom of speech and freedom of the press has been upheld in our society. Political thuggery like this comes from political dictatorships and totalitarian regimes. The interesting thing is that a lot of the people involved in making THE PATH TO 9/11 were liberal and voted for Clinton. Suddenly, the smear campaign focused their eyes on who’s really on the side of truth and justice.
Eventually, THE PATH TO 9/11 aired on ABC and once people saw it, the same politicians who were condemning it went into silence. They had completely misjudged what the program was.
