CBS gave the green light for NCIS Season 24, NCIS: ORIGINS Season 3 and NCIS: Sydney Season 4.
On Thursday, the network also renewed TRACKER, GEORGIE & MANDY’S FIRST MARRIAGE, SURVIVOR, ELSBETH, MATLOCK, FIRE COUNTRY and THE AMAZING RACE for the 2026-2027 season, Deadline reported on Jan. 22.
NCIS will star Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Katrina Law, Brian Dietzen, Diona Reasonover, Rocky Carroll and Gary Cole.
ORIGINS stars Austin Stowell, Kyle Schmid, Mariel Molino, Tyla Abercrumbie, Diany Rodriguez and Caleb Foote. Olivia Swann, Todd Lasance, Sean Sagar, Tuuli Narkle, Mavournee Hazel and William McInnes lead SYNDEY. It is produced by Endemol Shine Australia.
Fans were quick to celebrate the renewal announcements on Thursday.

“Soo happy NCIS SYNDEY got renewed! Living overseas, this show makes me miss home and the accents helps me not forget my own 😂😂 idc if ppl don’t like it,” one Aussie wrote.
“👏👏👏👏Congratulations to the entire NCIS family! SUPER!🔥🔥🔥” one fan said.
The flagship series will likely debut its 24th season in late September or early October, CBS 19 News reported. The Pilot-Independent anticipates it to stay in its Tuesdays at 8/7c slot.
The renewals are a bright spot in the NCIS fandom, as CBS just cancelled NCIS: TONY & ZIVA after one season. Fans got to see just 10 episodes with the couple before the show was pulled, which many viewers lament.
“Well it should be a quadruple renewal… #SaveTonyAndZiva” one fan wrote on Thursday.
“Love for NCIS and ORIGINS! But couldn’t renew HAWAII and or TONY & ZIVA???” another comment read.
Collider reported NCIS will celebrate its 1000th episode come April, a moment NCIS fans are looking forward to, as creators are known for putting easter eggs in commemorative episodes.
NCIS: ORIGINS is all about Leroy Jethro Gibbs and his team’s early days on the force.
Part of Movieguide®’s review of ORIGINS Season 1 Episode 18 reads, “Overall, NCIS: ORIGINS has a high production value, with dramatic plot lines and excellent performances from the main cast; fans of the NCIS universe will love seeing more of Gibbs’ backstory. The episode has a light moral worldview, with a focus on telling the truth and justice, but it also features problematic elements like lying, strong language, violence, and drinking and smoking. Movieguide® advises extreme caution.”
Tyla Abercrumbie, who plays Mary Jo in ORIGINS, said of the renewals, “Congratulations! So honored to be in the lineup with so much talent!”
Fans can expect new seasons of NCIS: ORIGINS and NCIS: SYDNEY to come out around the same time as NCIS Season 24 in the fall.
