It looks like Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show performance will completely reject the family-friendly values many Americans hold dear.
“If the Super Bowl Halftime Show couldn’t get any worse, there are reports that Bad Bunny is going to wear a dress on stage during his performance to honor queer icons,” sports analyst Jon Root shared on Instagram.
“And don’t forget, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said that this decision to have Bad Bunny perform in the first place was carefully thought through. And he also said it’s going to be a unified moment. What are we going to unify on: gender delusion, anti-God ideologies, anti-Trump, and anti-ICE? This will go down as the worst Super Bowl halftime show in the history of the league,” Root added.

Several anonymous sources told Radar Online that Bad Bunny plans to honor the “generations of drag, resistance and cultural rebellion.”
“He loves controversy. He lives to push envelopes,” one source told Radar Online. “He is 100 percent going to wear a dress. A political thunderbolt disguised as couture.”
“He’s not playing it safe. The NFL has no idea what’s coming. Zero,” another source echoed.
Samuel Short, a writer for the Western Journal, noted that “Wearing drag, being ‘queer,’ and just generally acting like what would be considered strange 20 years ago is now the most normal manner of behaving. He isn’t railing against the establishment; he’s just trying to put off the NFL’s conservative audience…”
It seems that the NFL will do just that.
“We won’t be watching!” one person commented on Root’s post. Another said, “Changing the channel during halftime!”

President Trump also announced that he does not plan on attending the Super Bowl this year, though it’s not specifically because of Bad Bunny’s performance.
“It’s just too far away. I would. I’ve [gotten] great hands [at] the Super Bowl. They like me,” Trump told The New York Post. “I would go if, you know, it was a little bit shorter.”
When asked what he thought of Bad Bunny as the performer and Green Day being the opener, Trump said, “I’m anti-them. I think it’s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible.”
For those who do not want to watch this halftime show, Turning Point USA has confirmed its plan to offer an alternate show. Performers have not yet been confirmed.
The Super Bowl kicks off on Sunday, Feb. 8, at 6:30 p.m. ET at Levi’s Stadium in California.
