Hallmark to Feature First Holiday-Themed Homosexual Storyline Starring MEAN GIRLS’ Jonathan Bennett

Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas will feature their first holiday-themed homosexual storyline in a move that will surely alienate its Christian viewers.

The movie, titled THE CHRISTMAS HOUSE, stars Jonathan Bennet (MEAN GIRLS), Robert Buckley, Trent Williams, Sharon Lawrence, and Brad Harder.

According to the synopsis from PEOPLE, the Mitchell family’s mother and father are in the midst of making some difficult decisions, so they ask their two sons to come home for Christmas. The parents want to recreate the Christmas house in an effort to help them come to a decision, while making this holiday one to remember.

Brandon, one of the sons, heads home with his husband awaiting a call about a potential adoption. While the other son, Mike, feels sparks flying with an old high school flame.

Michelle Vicary, EVP, Programming said,

“Our holiday table is bigger and more welcoming than ever. This year’s movies reflect our most diverse representation of talent, narratives, and families, including The Christmas House, featuring a storyline about a gay couple looking to adopt their first child, and starring Jonathan Bennett in an ensemble cast. Our movies are rooted in warmth and positivity, meaningful connections, family gatherings, and seasonal traditions—a winning formula we hope will bring our millions of viewers much-needed levity and holiday cheer at the end of a tough year.”

THE CHRISTMAS HOUSE is set to premiere on Hallmark on Nov. 22. Although Movieguide® has not reviewed this movie, we do not recommend it to any audiences.

This isn’t the first time Hallmark has made such a move. Movieguide® previously reported that Hallmark aired a movie that featured a lesbian wedding in August.

WEDDING EVERY WEEKEND was the first ever LGBTQ+ storyline for a movie on the network.

“Diversity and inclusion is a top priority for us and we look forward to making some exciting programming announcements in the coming months, including announcements about projects featuring LGBTQ storylines, characters, and actors,” wrote George Zaralidis, the vice president of network program publicity at Hallmark’s parent company, Crown Media Family Networks, in an emailed statement. “We are committed to creating a Hallmark experience where everyone feels welcome.”

One Million Moms is currently boycotting all things Hallmark because of the unbiblical values in these films.

“So many people feel betrayed by Hallmark over these past seven months. Hallmark Channel was one of the remaining channels that families could watch without being bombarded by politically correct commercials and the LGBTQ agenda,” the article states. “Family entertainment is not the outlet in which to be politically correct by forcing tolerance and acceptance of homosexuality – a sinful lifestyle that Scripture clearly deems wrong in Romans 1:18-28.”
