Fans Demand Disney Fire MANDALORIAN Actress After She Criticized Democrats

THE MANDALORIAN actress Gina Carano received backlash on Twitter–including calls for her termination–after sharing a meme that criticized the Democrats’ response to the coronavirus.
The actress and former MMA fighter is candid about her conservative-leaning beliefs on social media and posted a picture on Twitter of two people depicted as purposely putting face masks over their eyes.
“BREAKING NEWS: DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT LEADERS NOW RECOMMENDS WE ALL WEAR BLINDFOLDS ALONG WITH MASKS SO WE CAN’T SEE WHAT’S REALLY GOING ON,” the meme read.

Carano did not comment on the photo itself. However, after she posted the Tweet, some of her followers voiced their outrage and called on Disney to remove her from the hit Disney+ series with the hashtag #FireGinaCarano.
“It’s really disgusting how John Boyega and Kelly Marie Tran were viciously attacked by racist and sexist people, resulting in reduced roles and zero support from Disney, and Gina Carano gets a major role while associating herself with those very same people. #FireGinaCarano,” one person wrote.
Another follower added on Twitter: “#FireGinaCarano because she’s an alt-right transphobe who doesn’t deserve to have a platform or a paycheck 😌”
Although Carano’s post didn’t directly discuss the 2020 presidential election, the actress previously voiced her concern about voter fraud in the election.
“We need to clean up the election process so we are not left feeling the way we do today. Put laws in place that protect us against voter fraud. Investigate every state. Film the counting. Flush out the fake votes. Require ID. Make Voter Fraud end in 2020. Fix the system,” Carano wrote on Twitter.

Despite the vitriol against her, Carano uses Twitter to encourage people to find unity amidst the hostility.
“The more lying, cheating, demoralizing & hate I see.. the clearer it is for me to feel the Power of HOPE, TRUTH, RESPECT & LOVE,” Carano said. “Let your spirit be filled with strength & peace. Breath.”
