Kevin Sorbo Plans to ‘Look Into’ Facebook Censorship

By Movieguide® Staff

Kevin Sorbo said he plans to look into Facebook’s censorship of his page after the social media giant deleted multiple pages associated with the actor.

“I’m gonna look into it,” Sorbo said. “I’m gonna look into seeing what I can do about it, because [Facebook founder Mark] Zuckerberg, to me, is a big ole wuss. I mean this guy, he’s a billionaire ‘socialist,’ right? He doesn’t look like a socialist. He’s in a capitalist business. He flies around in private planes, he’s got homes everywhere — he can do whatever the heck he wants.”

Facebook originally deleted the pages in February.

“I’ve been told absolutely nothing, I mean they’ve been shadow banning me for the last year telling me that they’re purposely only letting a select few people see the posts that I make,” Sorbo explained in a recent interview on FOX NEWS @ NIGHT. “And the posts that I make, I do a lot of humor and obviously Facebook doesn’t like humor because they don’t have anything to laugh about.”

Sorbo continued: “And then I post things from doctors saying ‘Hey check out the other side of the issue of COVID’ or ‘check out the other side of the issue of voter fraud’ and ‘what do you guys think?’ That’s pretty much what I post and that’s enough to make them get angry and take my account down, I don’t know. I’d love to get an answer, trust me.”

Then, Facebook said they removed his pages because the actor was allegedly spreading false information about COVID-19.

Meanwhile, critics troll Sorbo on other platforms.

“If you don’t like me, then why are you following me? I don’t follow people that have such wildly different opinions from mine, because I don’t care. I’m gonna post what I’m gonna post. But these people [who criticize me], they think it’s gonna make them feel better if they have some kind of power to cancel me,” Sorbo said.

“These people — honestly, if I’m gonna be a ‘shrink’ about it — these are miserable, miserable people. We gotta pray for ’em.”

Sorbo also discussed his desire to see more faith-based projects made.

The actor told Faithwire that he hears “every day” from people who “want something that’s more uplifting, something that’s positive, something that doesn’t have to be ‘faith-based’ — it just has to be something with a good message with good people doing good things for people and helping people that honestly need help.”

Sorbo has previously won multiple Movieguide® Awards for his work in uplifting content.

In 2010, Sorbo took home the Grace Prize® for Most Inspiring Performance for his role in WHAT IF. He was nominated again in 2011 for his role in SOUL SURFER, and in 2014 for his part in GOD’S NOT DEAD.

WHAT IF was Sorbo’s first faith-based project.

Initially, Sorbo said he viewed the faith-based movie industry “the way a lot of people did. It just looked cheesy. It looked like everything was shot on some VHS tape recorder. The quality wasn’t there, the lighting wasn’t there. It’s just overall, like I said, the production value wasn’t there,” Sorbo told Movieguide® at the 24th Annual Movieguide® Awards Gala and Report to the entertainment Industry.

[The quality] is there now. I think a lot of it comes not only from the product being wanted by people in those fly-over states, but Hollywood now doesn’t do near as many movies as they used to do 10, 20, 30 years ago. Each studio does far less. They just put out PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 12. . . everything they know they can make money on. They’re afraid to take those chances, but the industry is growing. You’ve got people on both sides of the camera that are very talented, that want to work. The independent movie, even though they’re $500,000 budgets to $5 million budgets, people want to work, and they want to build a resume. So, quality people on both sides of the camera are being driven to this, the independent world and the faith-based world.”

Sorbo is involved with new projects LEADERS FOR LIFE and THE GIRL WHO BELIEVED IN MIRACLES.

According to a portion of the Movieguide® review for the GIRL WHO BELIEVED IN MIRACLES:

THE GIRL WHO BELIEVES IN MIRACLES introduces a young girl named Sara who has a strong Christian faith. Sara finds out that she can perform miracles after she prays to God to heal a dead bird. Throughout the movie Sara heals injured animals, blind children and children who are paralyzed or gravely sick. Sara’s family becomes concerned after Sara becomes ill and faints. They find out that Sara has been diagnosed with an unoperable brain tumor that could take her life. After performing many miracles in her community, Sara will need a miracle of her own to survive her cancer.

THE GIRL WHO BELIEVES IN MIRACLES is entertaining, emotional and inspirational. The actors are phenomenal and do a great job representing the walk of faith of the characters they portray. THE GIRL WHO BELIEVES IN MIRACLES reignites the spark of faith through a worldview that emphasizes morality, prayer, family, hope, and miracles. For example, Sara heals animals and injured children, Sara recounts Biblical stories such as Lazarus, and Sara has hope and faith even in the darkest hour. Families will enjoy this Christian content that reminds us all that anything is possible through God.

Check back later this week for the full reviews of both movies.
