CHRISTMAS WITH THE CHOSEN: THE MESSENGERS is the first theatrical release for the crowd-funded series THE CHOSEN, created by Dallas Jenkins. The highest-earning Fathom Event in history, features performances from beloved Christian artists and groups like Phil Wickham, Maverick City Music, for KING & COUNTRY, Brandon Lake, Cain, Leanna Crawford, Jordan Feliz, Dawson Hollow, Matt Maher, One Voice Children’s Choir, The Bonner Family, Bryan and Katie Torwalt, We The Kingdom, and Austin Reed Alleman.
Songs include classic and revised Christmas songs such as “Silent Night,” “Angels We Have Heard on High,” “Go Tell It on the Mountain,” and “The First Noel,” as well as modern worship songs like Jordan Feliz’s “Hallelujah Our King” and Brandon Lakes’ “Gratitude.”
Interwoven with the performances are four Scripture-filled monologues from the series’ actors and actresses. The monologues feature Austin Reed Alleman (Nathaniel), Giavani Cairo (Thaddeus), Luke Dimyan (Judas), and Lara Silva (Eden). The monologues are beautifully written and speak to the names of God, and what they mean for humankind then and now.
Finally, THE MESSENGERS is a brand new CHOSEN episode. It highlights the events of Jesus Christ’s birth, as recorded in the book of Luke, through the eyes of Mary and Joseph. Juxtaposed
with Mary and Joseph in the stable is a conversation between Mary and Mary Magdalene in the house of Lazarus.
