Fans who first attacked former Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott are after his new family-friendly content on GAC Media.

The CEO left Hallmark after one of their movies featured the platform’s first homosexual couple. Many actors and actresses have followed Abbott, signing deals with GAC Family.

Actress Jen Lilley recently announced on Instagram that she signed on for four original movies with GAC Family. Fans quickly questioned the actress’ decision, calling Abbott’s new platform “hate-filled, judging and bigoted,” Cinema Blend reported.

Lilley, who had become a Hallmark regular since 2017, defended her switch to GAC Family.

“This comment couldn’t be further from the truth,” Lilley said in response to a fan’s comment disparaging the GAC network. “GAC family is completely loving, diverse, and does so much behind the scenes for the kingdom of God that I get compelled as a Christian to support them whole heartedly.”

“I hope you’re not believing the rumors you hear that have an agenda, but I can tell you personally, I know this channel is full of genuine love, rooted in truth, and will do so much for so many,” she added.

Lilley is an outspoken Christian and former host of the Movieguide® Awards Gala where she championed the need for God-honoring content in the media.

“It’s new and so good already! And they do SO much to give back behind the scenes. I love them!” she said in a different comment. “GAC family is on so many platforms and most cable too. I use FrndlyTV because I don’t have cable and I love saving money.”

Actress Jen Lilley added her name to the list of recent Hallmark Channel alumni to sign a deal with GAC Media.

The former Movieguide® Awards host and outspoken Christian penned a multi-picture deal with GAC Media, whose brands include up-and-coming channels like GAC Family and GAC Living, both led by former Hallmark CEO Bill Abbott.

The deal includes four original movies over the next two years, according to Deadline.

The singer/songwriter recently made her GAC Family debut in ROYALLY WRAPPED FOR CHRISTMAS.

“Aside from being an immensely talented and hardworking actor, Jen is a generous and kindhearted person who is a perfect fit for GAC,” Bill Abbott, President and CEO of GAC Media, said. “Many of us on the GAC team have known Jen for years, and we are excited to welcome her to the family as we work together to bring even more entertaining movies to our fans.”
