Hunter Lawrence Wins Supercross 250 East Coast Championship: ‘Thank you to my Family’

Hunter Lawrence secured the Monster Energy Supercross 250 East Coast Championship on Saturday in the city of music, Nashville, Tennessee.
NBC Sports posted on their Instagram, “Brotherly love ?❤️ Hunter Lawrence WINS the 250 East Championship! ?”
Hunter isn’t the only Lawrence who’s won an East Coast Championship, his younger brother, Jett Lawrence also won the title last year.
Jett posted on his Instagram story, “I can not tell you how proud I am of my brother, friend, and idol. I’m so freaking happy for you mate.”
He continued, “Love you so much, no one else deserves it more than you do.”
Hunter took a little longer to get his wins than his younger brother, Jett. Nonetheless, he triumphed over the popularity of his younger brother and an injury. In 2023, Hunter decided it was time for him to put his head down and work hard.
The Lawrence brother’s success isn’t just attributed to them. They’re originally from Landsborough, Australia. They grew up racing The European Motocross Championship in Australia but they both knew in order to make it big; they would need to move to the states.
Their parents chose to drop everything, sell all they had, and bring the family to the states. The brother’s landed a factory contract in 2021 where they both also signed a contract with Red Bull.
From then on, their parents sacrifice has paid off. It has been nothing but success from the Lawrence brothers.
Although Hunter is older, Jett started his career strong. In only his third season, Jett won his first supercross title.
Jett Lawrence will make his stab at the Monster Energy Supercross 250 West Coast Championship in Denver, Colorado. He has a 39-point lead against rival RJ Hampshire. If Jett is able to get the job done, it will make it his second supercross title in just four seasons.
