‘Enrich Each Other’s Lives’: Candace Cameron Bure Talks Fitness and Connection

By Movieguide® Contributor

Candace Cameron Bure is kicking off her 2024 with a discussion about fitness and connection.

“I think, within the first few minutes of us even talking, we understood one another, and I think that’s a great point to anybody who’s looking for a trainer,” Bure’s trainer Kira Stokes said during an episode of “The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast.”

She and Bure struck up a friendship after a mutual friend connected them for a training session. Stokes explained that having this connection with whomever you’re training with is very important.

“Be really aware of the energy that you’re receiving from the person right off the bat,” she said. “This is your body, and you’re likely spending some money, so you have the right to feel whether that feels good to you.”

Bure emphasized that sentiment, sharing that, as she’s gotten older, she understands the importance of connection.

“I don’t want to make room for people that don’t bring positivity and encouragement, and I want to do the same back to them,” the actress explained, adding that she often asks herself, “How can we make each other better? How can we enrich each other’s lives?”

Stokes is the creator of “The Stoked Method,” which is “rooted in one simple principle: one must shock the body to transform the body; no two workouts are the same because no two bodies are the same; people evolve, so should their workouts,” according to her website.

She also created KSFit, a nutrition and wellness program “that prioritizes consistency, sustainability and flexibility.”

She has big plans for 2024, too, telling Athletech News, “In 2024, we’re looking forward to forging relationships with key corporate partners to bring more of a global reach to the KSFit brand. We’re also investing heavily in offline and online experiences — bringing the Stoked athlete community together.”

Movieguide® previously reported on Bure’s focus on health in 2024:

FULL HOUSE star and influencer Candace Cameron Bure will be focusing on health during the next season of her podcast.

“As we jump into 2024 we’re talking all about health,” Bure began. “Now I know this can be a scary topic for some of you. It might even make you go ‘ugh,’ but I truly believe we all want to be healthy, but that means different things for different people. We’ve got different bodies, different minds, different hearts, different families. There is no one size fits-all when it comes to being healthy.”

She revealed that she plans to have some of her “closest friends” on the show, including her trainer Kira Stokes, to help her subscribers learn how to live a healthy and well-balanced life.

“We’re going to learn not just about healthy bodies but about healthy minds and healthy families,” she explained. “I’m calling this season, ‘Reset Body, Mind and Soul.’ And I can’t wait for you to join us.”
