Candace Cameron Bure Calls Faith ‘The Most Precious Thing to Me’

By Movieguide® Contributor

Candace Cameron Bure discussed her faith and how it shines through her upcoming projects while on the red carpet at this year’s Movieguide® Awards.

The Movieguide® Awards will be on Great American Family at 8 p.m. ET on March 7. The winners will receive Movieguide®’s Teddy Bear Award®.

“[My faith] is where my heart is at. The most precious thing to me in the world is to share my faith. And whether I’m doing that in conversation or through my films, it’s my mission in life,” Bure told Movieguide®.

“We’re all living life, you know, and my faith and hope and trust is in God,” she added. “And so no matter what storms are around, no matter what chaos is going on in the world and cultural wars and social injustice is, I look to God and to His word to navigate it.”

Having been an actor from a young age, it is impressive that Bure has such a strong faith. She credits her parents and grandparents for her deep relationship with the Lord, which has guided her through life. She has also passed her faith on to her children.

“I’ve come from an incredible line and generations of faith filled parents and grandparents and great grandparents,” Bure said. “I’m so happy for my son and his beautiful wife and you know, they love the Lord and so I just can’t wait to see what they’re gonna do and grow in their lives and how they will lead in ministry.”

Bure has also used her platform to spread the Gospel. She currently serves as the Chief Content Officer at Great American Family, through which she creates family-centered movies that promote strong morals.

“I have lots [of movies] that are in development, in the works, and coming out. UNSUNG HEROES – a movie that will be in theaters April 26, that we’re very excited about, that I co-produced,” she said. “And then all the movies on the Great American Family channel. There is a great new Easter movie coming out this year that I produced, and obviously there will be lots of Christmas movies.”

Catch Bure and other faith-filled stars when this year’s Movieguide® Awards broadcast on Great American Family on March 7 at 8 p.m. ET.
