Alexa PenaVega just shared her faith-filled morning affirmations with her social media followers!
“I’m doing my morning affirmations, and I figured I would bring you guys into it, because these are really, really important,” she said in an Instagram video. “I want you to know they are maybe a little embarrassing in the beginning, but they are so powerful, and what you speak over yourself is huge.”
PenaVega then began doing her makeup while saying her affirmations — “I speak life over ourselves today because God is good, and He told us that life and death are in the power of our tongue, so He wants us to be speaking life over our bodies.”

“God gives me wisdom, God gives me strength, God heals me, God loves me, Jesus loves me. I am loved by God,” she continued. “God restores me, God restores all my relationships, God brings healing to all my relationships.”
The actress reminded herself she is “fearfully and wonderfully made,” adding, “I delight myself in the Lord and He gives me the desire of my heart. In all my ways, I acknowledge Him and He makes my paths straight.”
“His word lives inside of me. The Holy Spirit resides in me,” she concluded. “Thank you, God, for your goodness.”
PenaVega recently sat down for an interview with Streams Studio, where she shared how she balances her career as an actress with her faith.
“I was in LA,” she recalled. “I had a career that was growing,” adding that her growing faith caused her to struggle with boundaries between her work and her relationship with God.
She continued, “[God] just really met me where I was at…I really feel like the biggest change was this immense peace. Just feeling like, ‘Okay, I know the Lord…I know the heart He’s given me.’”
In a 2022 interview with Fox News, PenaVega elaborated on this time in her life, sharing how it changed the way she began viewing the roles she chose to take on.
“As far as the industry goes, you could see the types of projects I took before, in comparison to the projects I take now,” she explained. “I care about the characters and I care about redemption.”
PenaVega continued, “I’m focused on the redemption side of stories. I don’t want to just make Christian movies. I don’t think that helps the world and I want to touch the world. I want to find more worldly content if that makes sense. So I would say the industry impacted me because I had to do a switch as far as what I would take and what my boundaries were.”
Whether it’s through her social media posts or in the roles she takes on, PenaVega is committed to sharing her faith with others.
