I STILL BELIEVE, the movie based on Grammy-nominated artist Jeremy Camp’s life, released on Netflix last Thursday.

“Five years ago, I STILL BELIEVE hit theaters the weekend the world shut down — March 2020,” Camp wrote on Instagram. “The timing was heartbreaking — just days after release, theaters around the globe closed. What was meant to be a shared experience on the big screen turned into a quiet pivot to streaming.”

However, God didn’t let the story end there.

“Now, I STILL BELIEVE is coming to Netflix for the very first time,” his post continued. “It’s a full-circle moment. It is amazing to see how God is still using this movie around the world! Still blown away that I was able to share my story through film. There was a lot of tears involved in this, both from grief, as the pain was brought up once again, to the joy of God’s incredible faithfulness.”

“To everyone who supported the film back then, and to those who are about to discover it for the first time: thank you,” the artist added. “This one means a lot. Please share with as many people as possible. We want to get this Top 10 on Netflix so more people can see it and discover it for the first time!”

The movie follows Camp during his early years as an aspiring singer-songwriter.

“He falls in love with Melissa and they marry, but tragedy strikes for the newlyweds when Melissa’s cancer returns and she succumbs to her illness,” the synopsis reads. “Jeremy becomes grief-stricken over losing the love of his life, but he gradually learns that suffering does not end someone’s life; it strengthens it. Jeremy feels hope being renewed in his soul, and he decides to honor his late wife’s legacy.”

The cast includes K.J. Apa, Britt Robertson, Nathan Parsons, Gary Sinise, Shania Twain, Reuben Dodd, Nicolas Bechtel, Melissa Roxburgh and more.

Camp’s fans can’t wait to watch the Teddy Bear Award® winning movie again.

“Love this movie so much!! I cry every time!!!” one person commented on his post.

Another wrote, “So excited for this! Such a beautiful movie telling your story!!!”

“Such a beautiful movie! Excited to watch it again!” another said.

Movieguide® praised I STILL BELIEVE’s strong Christian worldview:

I STILL BELIEVE is a beautiful movie. It’s very well edited and captivating, although it even violates some rules of filmmaking. Melissa’s struggling with cancer is extremely painful. Jeremy’s commitment shows an incredible manifestation of Christian sacrificial love. The music is great, especially the last end credit song to Jesus. MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution for younger children for I STILL BELIEVE because of the heartrending scenes of Melissa’s cancer.

God will certainly continue to use Camp’s story as the movie makes waves on Netflix.
