Amid rumors that Hulk Hogan’s on his deathbed, a representative clarified that the WWE star isn’t leaving this world anytime soon.

Hogan, 71, “had problems with his back,” the rep said on Wednesday, but there’s “no reasons to panic.” Hogan had neck fusion surgery, which “has indeed been successful.”

The rumors started when YouTuber Bubba The Love Sponge said that Hogan was hospitalized and “might not make it.”

“I’ve had like 25 surgeries in the last ten years. 10 of them were back surgeries,” Hogan said last September. “I’ve had 10 back surgeries, both knees and both hips replaced, shoulders — everything.”

In November, another wrestler said that Hogan could no longer feel his lower body — a complication from a recent back surgery.

“He had the nerves cut from his lower body,” said wrestler Kurt Angle, who met with Hogan at WWE’s RAW 30th Anniversary show. “He can’t feel his lower body. So [he uses] his cane to walk around.”

“I thought he was using the cane because he had pain in his back,” Angle said. “He doesn’t have any pain. He has nothing at all. He can’t feel anything.

It’s unclear if his latest surgery is related to that issue.

In 2013, Hogan sued the Laser Spine Institute in Tampa, Florida. He claimed that he went through several unnecessary procedures that cost him multiple payments of over $100,000. The surgeries actually made his condition worse, and he eventually had to get traditional back fusion surgery. He won the lawsuit in 2016.

Just a few months ago, Hogan’s 37-year-old daughter, Brooke, spoke about their family dynamic.

“No contact with my Mom has nothing to do with my Dad, and no contact with my Father has nothing to do with my Mother,” she wrote on social media on Mar. 27. “I so badly wanted to see good in them, protect, help, and start anew-just to be disrespected again and again. I longed for a normal family, but it never came to fruition.”

“Their behavior became more painful than their absence,” she said.

Hogan’s ex-wife, Linda Hogan, also publicly accused Hogan of some unpleasant things and spoke about the fallout with Brooke.

Hogan has not responded to the statements.

Despite his hospital stay, Hogan — or someone on his behalf — has been very active on social media in the last week. At the time of writing, he’s shared about 13 posts on his Instagram across the last seven days.

For now, it seems “the Hulkster” is still hanging on — battered but not beaten.
