HGTV star Jenny Marrs shared a moving reminder that God has a plan for you, no matter what your age is.

“‘Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron was eighty-three when they made their demands to Pharaoh.’ (Exodus 7:7),” she wrote in a recent Instagram post, adding, “I believe every word of Scripture is God-breathed and written down for a purpose. Here’s the thing, the age of Moses and Aaron could have been left out of the story of Exodus, but this one seemingly insignificant sentence is on the page for a purpose.”

Marrs recounted “three distinct conversations” she has recently had with “friends in different seasons of life — all stepping out in faith.”

“The circumstances are varied but they all share a common thread: God is asking them to do a new thing and they are listening,” she wrote. “For some reason, the only one who is confidently stepping forward without hesitation is the one in her thirties. The other two are slightly older and feel silly; they mistakenly believe their time has passed. This is not okay.”

Marrs explained that, whether we’re told we’re too young “to be listened to” or that we’re too old and “need to step quietly out of the way as we age because we have had our chance and God couldn’t possibly choose to use us now,” we need to ignore these lies.

“God has a good plan for each of our lives,” she wrote. “And, sometimes, He anoints us with our calling when we are a teenager, like David. Other times, He waits until we are eighty years old, like Moses.”

Marrs continued, “I don’t know who needs to hear this today but please remember this: you are not unqualified because you’re ‘too young’ and you are not counted out because ‘you’re too old.’ Just keep on running your race well because you are here — living and breathing, right now, this very day, at this exact point in history — for a purpose.”

The FIXER TO FABULOUS star often shares faith-filled messages like this with her social media followers, and now, in her soon-to-be-published book, Trust God, Love People: Stories of My Openhanded Faith.

“The reason I wrote all of these stories down was for my children to have a record of God’s faithfulness to our family,” she shared in a recent Instagram post. “I wanted them to have a hardback, black-and-white, printed testimony for themselves and for their own kids to read someday.”

Per an official description of the book, Trust God, Love People “is a guiding principle in Jenny’s life, and serves as a reminder that steadfast trust in our faithful, loving God allows us to love others well. As we, like Jenny, learn to take our next step in faith and love the people around us, we can walk confidently into adventures beyond our wildest expectations.”

Whether it’s through social media or her published books, Marrs dedicates her time to sharing her faith and encouraging others to deepen their relationship with God.
