A star-studded concert taking place in St. Peter’s square, boasting artists like Jelly Roll, Jennifer Hudson and Andrea Bocelli, will make history at the Vatican.

“A celebration of music and human connection is on the horizon,” a press release for the event reads. “Streaming live on Disney+, Hulu, and ABC News the ‘Grace for the World’ live concert unites gospel harmonies, classical mastery, and international artistry in a single event at St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City.”

It continues, “Co-directed by Pharrell Williams and Maestro Andrea Bocelli, the performance closes the third World Meeting on Human Fraternity and celebrates the 2025 Jubilee Year.”

Other featured artists include John Legend, Karol G, Pharrell Williams, Teddy Swims, BamBam, Clipse and the Voices of Fire Gospel Choir.

Nova Sky Stories is also set to put on an aerial drone and light show, with images inspired by the Sistine Chapel’s iconic artwork.

“This is a rare cultural moment where the world stops and collectively tunes in. It is a message of unity and grace for all of humanity,” Williams said in a statement.

Bocelli added, “Let us shine a spotlight on humanity with music from the very heart of Christianity and the most important spiritual square, reaching the entire world with a single message of brotherhood and peace.”

The “Grace for the World” concert event is celebrating the Catholic Jubilee Holy Year, the 2,025th anniversary of the incarnation of Christ, as well as marking the end of the third World Meeting on Human Fraternity, which “embraces differences, builds bridges between generations and cultures, inspires personal choices, and guides public policies,” according to their website.

The Jubilee is an “event of great spiritual, ecclesial, and social significance in the life of the Church,” per the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ website.

The site continued, “The concept of ‘Jubilee’ has its origins in the Book of Leviticus (chapter 25) as a special year of reconciliation, pilgrimage, and coming home. Pope Francis has designated the 2025 Holy Year as a time to renew ourselves as ‘Pilgrims of Hope.’”

The concert is free and open to all, with the Vatican asking attendees to arrive at St. Peter’s Square by 8 p.m. The concert will start at 9 p.m.

“Grace for the World” will stream live on Disney+, Hulu, and ABC News Sept. 13 at 3 p.m. EST.
