Live-action COCOMELON series THE MELON PATCH will hit your TV screen soon!
“We’re excited for audiences to experience THE MELON PATCH, where music, play, and learning come alive,” said Nicole Rivera, Senior Creative Executive at COCOMELON. “Its engaging, play-along curriculum is relatable for kids and rewarding for parents, bringing COCOMELON to life in a whole new way.”
THE MELON PATCH is hosted by Ms. Appleberry (Allie Rivera Quiñonez), “COCOMELON’s beloved music teacher, who leads a classroom with warmth, curiosity and songs to help children learn and have fun,” per Deadline.

According to a synopsis of THE MELON PATCH, the kids show “blends music, storytelling, movement, and art into fun segments that keep little learners engaged while exploring milestones like bath time, textures, big feelings and the joy of music.”
The show will implement STEM concepts into the show to optimize the educational value of episodes about independence, communication and social-emotional development.
Early childhood education expert Dr. Natascha Crandall helped develop THE MELON PATCH’s curriculum, along with parenting consultant Clarice F. Dionisio.
Crandall told The Hollywood Reporter, “THE MELON PATCH offers children the foundations for lifelong learning and well-being. By using the fundamentals of child development, this show meets children where they are and helps them rise to reach their next milestones with greater ease.”
“With THE MELON PATCH, we’ve created a joyful space where kids can learn through music, play, and the warmth of a teacher they know and love, Ms. Appleberry,” Nicole Rivera, senior creative executive at COCOMELON, told The Hollywood Reporter. “She helps make every lesson feel like an adventure, blending songs, stories, and real-life learning in a way that’s as fun as it is meaningful.”
Quiñonez is also excited for kids to see the show, saying, “As a mom and step-mom myself, playing such a warm beloved character like Ms. Appleberry has been truly a gift. I know how valuable a show that makes learning feel fun through music and play can be, and I can’t wait for families to discover all the songs, activities, and surprises THE MELON PATCH has in store.”
She will be joined by Mr. Doodad (David Reynolds), “the imaginative art teacher,” Ms. Twist (Jordyn Waldo), “the energetic dance and movement instructor,” and Mr. Acorn (Jalen Jaleel), “the nature and exploration expert,” per The Wrap.
THE MELON PATCH is the second-ever live-action COCOMELON show, following 2024’s COCOMELON CLASSROOM.
THE MELON PATCH premieres Sept. 23 on YouTube.
