Legendary rock band Journey announced it will embark on one final nationwide tour next year before disbanding forever.

“This tour is our heartfelt thank you to the fans who’ve been with us every step of the way – through every song, every era, every high and low,” said Journey founder Neal Schon of their “Final Frontier” tour. “We’re pulling out all the stops with a brand-new production – the hits, the deep cuts, the energy, the spectacle. It’s a full-circle celebration of the music that’s brought us all together.”

“It’s been an incredible ride,” added keyboardist Jonathan Cain. “We’ve shared our music with millions, and this tour is about gratitude, connection, and one last chance to feel that magic together. We wouldn’t want it any other way.”

While he is best known for his role in Journey, Cain is also a very strong Christian who writes and leads worship music on his own and believes that even his rock hits have Biblical truths within them.

“Music is ministry,” Cain said. “For me, it’s never too late to return to the Lord. No matter how much of sinner you think you are, He loves you more than you know, and I’m living proof.”

Cain is also a co-writer of the song “Don’t Stop Believing” and credits the Lord and his father for inspiring the lyrics to the hit.

“My father was the one that gave me the advice, ‘don’t stop believing.’ My dog got hit by a car, it was tragic, and I needed money to pay for the vet bill. I had to call him and I hated asking him for money but I said, ‘Dad I just wonder, should I give up on this music dream and come home to Chicago and forget about it?’” Cain recalled. “There was a silence for a minute and then he said, ‘John, this is your vision. No you’re not coming home, stay the course, don’t stop believing.’”

“I wrote it down in this little lyric book that I had when I was writing lyrics and it wasn’t until five years later, Steve Perry looked at me and said, ‘You got another song?’ I said, ‘Well, let me look at my book,’” he continued. “Sure enough there’s what dad had said. I wrote a melody to have a city boy and a small town girl on a midnight train going anywhere… I came in the next day and it was history. I believe it is what got us into the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame, 100%. Thank you dad.”

Cain and the rest of his bandmates will have one last moment in the spotlight when their “Final Frontier” tour begins next year. The tour will run from February through June and travel all across America.
