Hawkeye made his official debut on Marvel’s IRON MAN AND HIS AWESOME FRIENDS.
Marvel’s IRON MAN AND HIS AWESOME FRIENDS “follows the adventures (and misadventures) of best friends and super geniuses — Tony Stark, Riri Williams and Amadeus Cho — as they work together to solve problems both big and small and protect their city. In order to help them save the day, the Iron Friends each have their own Iron Suits that allow them to fly and give them enhanced super-strength,” a synopsis of the show reads.
Young fans love seeing Iron Man, Ironheart and Iron Hulk, “the dynamic trio,” fight bad guys and save the day, all while making friends and “promoting values of play, problem-solving, teamwork and imagination.”
Hawkeye, voiced by Nick A. Fisher, debuted in “The Tale of Hawkeye” on Disney Jr. last Friday before arriving on Disney+ on Nov. 12.

“It’s such a beautiful show — the animation is such eye candy — but you’re watching these kids work together as a team when faced with challenges and gain from each other’s differences,” actor Tony Hale, who voices Ultron in the series, said in a press release. “What a great lesson for kids to learn early on.”
Hale has loved the opportunity to play Ultron, the bad guy, “whom he portrays with animated flare and a high-pitched cackle that verges on maniacally playful.”
“Ultron is so fun and kind of a callback to old classic villains — a little twisting of the mustache and a bit of a foil,” the actor described.
IRON MAN AND HIS AWESOME FRIENDS allows “kids see characters their age empowered and facing challenges,” which in turn empowers them to feel strong and bold.
“At Disney Jr., we know our stories are often a preschooler’s first introduction to the adventure and magic of Disney, and we take that responsibility to heart,” Alyssa Sapire, head of Disney Jr., Original Programming and Strategy, said. “Our goal is to spark imagination, inspire joy, and create lasting connections that grow into a lifelong love for Disney.”
Two big themes throughout the show are play and sports, which depicts “the joy and necessity to go outside and share these activities with others while also instilling important life skills in kids.”
“When you’re in preschool, you’re learning how to handle things when they don’t go your way, or you strike out,” Jessica Mendoza, who voices Dottie Doubleday, said.
IRON MAN AND HIS AWESOME FRIENDS marks another foray into preschool entertainment for Marvel.
Earlier this fall, Disney released SPIDEY AND IRON MAN: AVENGERS TEAM-UP!, a crossover between IRON MAN AND HIS AWESOME FRIENDS and MARVEL’S SPIDEY AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS.
Part of Moveiguide®’s review of the crossover reads reads:
SPIDEY AND IRON MAN: AVENGERS TEAM-UP! features great animation. The scenes are crisp, and the transitions are smooth. However, the voices are the biggest stand-out. The plot is engaging, and while basic, it has good character development and a clear structure. It contains strong moral elements of teamwork, friendship, and the defense of the helpless throughout. The Avengers work together to protect the town from evil, risking their own lives. While there is no explicit content, there is some light cartoon violence, and Hulk goes shirtless. MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution for younger viewers.
It’s clear that Marvel wants to snag new fans from the youngest of viewers.
