The newest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY, has finished filming.
The post has since been deleted from Instagram, but a source that works as Destin Daniel Cretton’s (director) assistant, shared, per ScreenRant, “Wrapping is always so emotional. As someone really bad at saying goodbyes, I stayed around this time and hugged a lot of people… guess that’s a step forward.”
The source also added, “It’s an awesome crew. I [love] how neurodivergent… it turned out to be. I had [a] great time. Will miss you all (but just for a short while…) and may our path cross again.”
According to the outlet, filming “began in August 2025, as Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios revealed that filming was underway, while also unveiling Holland’s new Spider-Man costume for the Phase 6 installment. With filming now reportedly done on SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY, AVENGERS: SECRET WARS is the last remaining film of The Multiverse Saga that has yet to start production.

Cretton spoke on the “next stage” of Spider-man’s character.
“I’m spending my time exploring the next stage of this amazing character with a team of the most incredible artists in the world,” the director shared at CinemaCon. “We’re all, just daily, nerding out over the suit, how to swing, how to create an event, an emotional story, and a ride that we haven’t really seen before”
“It’s day one — my fourth-ever day one on Spider-Man,” Holland said in a Bhind-The-Scenes video. “You know, it’s funny. Putting the suit on, it feels different this time, somehow. It’s also the first time we’ve ever had fans on set for day one, so it’s really exciting to share this with them. We’ve got some familiar faces on set. You know, Im just going to do my best, hopefully get it right. No pressure.”
The latest leaked news for the movie speculated STRANGER THINGS star Sadie Sink to play a role in BRAND NEW DAY.
There are no confirmed roles as of yet, but an insider from Den of Nerds believes Sink will portray the role of Jean Gray.
Whether Sink will protray Jean Gray or another chracter many MCU fans are expecting the STRANGER THINGS star to make her debut in BRAND NEW DAY.
SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY has officially wrapped filming and will head into the next stages of production. The movie is expected to hit theaters on July 31, 2026 and will be one of the biggest summer block busters.
