New York Giants quarterback Jameis Winston shared the gospel in one minute during a sideline interview.
“Man, I think one of the easiest ways to have a relationship with Jesus is first to choose Him just like He chose you,” Winston said in the video.
“We are all called to change others lives. Jesus already had a burden that was released off of us,” the quarterback continued. “But He gained victory in that burden when He defeated Satan. He gained victory when He was dead for three days and rose again on that third day.”
“Man, so, the ultimate choice is, are you going to choose? Are you going to choose to take up Jesus’ cross every single day? Not your own individual lack, not your own individual successes, not the things that you’ve been through.”

“We think so much of me-centric…but Jesus said, ‘Seek first the kingdom of God and all His righteousness.’ And love thy neighbor as thyself,” the quarterback concluded.
Winston started for the Giants for the second time this season last Sunday while rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart continued to recover from a concussion. Winston’s play did not disappoint.
The quarterback “completed 18-of-36 passing attempts for 366 yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 interception and a passer rating of 93.1 He also rushed 4 times for 13 yards and added 1 catch for 33 yards and a touchdown,” the Giants reported. The team, however, lost to the Detroit Lions 27-34.
After the game, Winston was asked how he deals with the “difficulty of having great plays but not coming out with the win.”
“One thing that one of my mental coaches, Jim Brogan, always told me, we always repeated is that success is in the struggle,” Winston responded. “We have to continue to endure.”
The athlete then quoted one of his favorite Bible verses, James 1: 2-4: “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
“I think this team is just in the season where we are enduring certain trials. I was so proud of the defense when they got that turnover,” he continued. “We just have to find a way to win, and that’s as simple as that. I have to do my role better. We all have a part in this. The coaches are putting us in a great position to do so. Collectively, we just have to find a way, and we will.”
Winston never misses an opportunity to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
