ZOOTOPIA 2 has absolutely crushed the global box office.
According to Deadline, the animated flick soared past the “$600M mark globally this week after a record-breaking opening this past weekend. The international box office reached $446.9M through Tuesday, including $20.5M on the day, and leading to a worldwide running total of $616.7M.”
The sequel to 2016’s ZOOTOPIA follows rookie cops Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman). The bunny-fox duo find themselves on the twisting trail of a great mystery when Gary De’Snake (voice of Academy Award® winner Ke Huy Quan) arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down.”
“To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before. The Oscar®-winning team of Jared Bush and Byron Howard (directors) and Yvett Merino (producer) are the principal filmmakers,” a synopsis of the film reads, per Disney.

Some theaters got creative to increase ticket sales, allowing audiences to bring their dogs. In Changchun, China, a video surfaced of a packed theater full of dogs and their owners.
It’s clear moviegoers are loving the animal extravaganza. Disney shared some clips of the movie on social media, where many people commented on their appreciation.
“Such a great movie! 🍿 These two were the duo we all need,” one person wrote.
“I watched it last night! They definitely know the adult fans are turning out for this – it’s very cleverly written. You’ll laugh and the kids will love it too. The addition of reptiles & never-before-seen areas of Zootopia were awesome!” another person commented.
“Truly one of the greatest movies with a heartfelt message, and one of the best sequels ever,” someone wrote on another post.
Because of its strong moral, Christian worldview and family-oriented themes, it’s not surprising ZOOTOPIA 2 is absolutely dominating.
