Wondering where to stream A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS this year? We’ve got the answer.
The iconic Christmas special is only available to stream on Apple TV+, TODAY reported. But you don’t need a subscription to watch.
On Dec. 13 and 14, A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS will be available to stream for free on the platform.
“In this beloved Peanuts special, feeling down about the commercialism of Christmas, Charlie Brown becomes the director of the gang’s holiday play. Can he overcome his friends’ preference for dancing over acting, find the ‘perfect’ tree and discover the true meaning of Christmas?” Apple said in a press release.

It’ll make the perfect family movie night too, as A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS celebrates the real meaning of the season: the birth of Jesus Christ. Part of Movieguide®’s review reads:
A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS contains much of the wonderful spirit of the PEANUTS comic strip created by Charles Schultz. The music fits the onscreen action to a tee, and the animation is priceless. The voice actors are perfect. The animated short has many Christmas carols and stresses the value of serving others during Christmas. A few times, characters call each other stupid, and Lucy and Snoopy get into a tiff, but these elements are comical and don’t cast a shadow on the sweet story. Best of all, A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS has a very strong Christian, biblical worldview that focuses on celebrating the birth of Jesus.
Apple became the home of all things Peanuts in 2020, announcing an extension to its role as the Peanuts’ exclusive streamer for five more years in October.
“In this milestone 75th anniversary year, it feels incredibly meaningful to continue our collaboration with our brilliant partners at WildBrain, Peanuts Worldwide and Lee Mendelson,” Tara Sorensen, head of children’s programming, Apple TV+, said. “Our commitment, dedication and passion for Peanuts runs deep. These beloved characters and stories hold a timeless significance, resonating with people of all ages across the globe. And we are delighted that the iconic holiday specials will be available for everyone to experience, continuing this time-honored, comforting tradition.”
The partnership promises a “brand-new slate of original Peanuts series and specials from WildBrain and Peanuts Worldwide, plus the beloved classic Peanuts specials from Peanuts Worldwide and Lee Mendelson Film Productions.”
Apple offered fans of the classic holiday specials — IT’S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN, A CHARLIE BROWN THANKSGIVING and A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS — a two-day free streaming window ahead of their respective holidays.
The Peanuts comic turned 75 this year.
Charles M. Schulz debuted the comic strip in 1950 in just seven U.S. newspapers. Since then, it’s grown into a “global phenomenon,” inspiring everything from theme park attractions to public art projects and consumer products, the Peanuts website said.
“Snoopy has even gone to space (more than once!) thanks to a Space Act Agreement between Peanuts Worldwide and NASA,” the comic’s history continues. “PEANUTS speaks a universal language — and has also introduced a vocabulary all its own: ‘Good grief!,’ ‘security blanket,’ ‘You blockhead!’ and ‘Happiness is…'”
A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS arrived in 1965, and it’s been a holiday classic ever since. Stream it for free on Apple TV+ Dec. 13-14.
