The Finding Jesus toy is an incredible tool for children to learn about advent as it introduces them to the story of the birth of Jesus in a fun and interactive way throughout all of December.

“So you have a plush Jesus doll and you put a different puzzle piece in the back of his garment. The parents can help hide him around. The children will seek him first thing in the morning, grab out their puzzle piece,” toymaker Lillian Richey told Fox News. “Today is December 13, you read a little verse that it correlates with. It’s all about the birth of Jesus… And after 24 days, you’ll have read all about the birth… The whole purpose is really to just encourage a personal relationship with our Savior.”

The toy teaches children about a relationship with the Lord through more than just the Bible verses they receive, as the puzzle pieces are also organized in a way where each day’s piece does not always connect with the larger picture right away. Richey created her toy in this way because pieces of our walk with the Lord do not always fit in until other pieces have been revealed.

“You may wonder why the completed puzzle isn’t on display anywhere to show where the next puzzle piece goes and how the finished artwork will look. The reality is that this parallels life walking with Jesus. It is an adventure and we just don’t know the masterpiece planned, but we can trust that His plans for us exceed any of our own,” Richey explained.

The Finding Jesus toy is an extremely valuable tool for parents to teach their children about the reason for Christmas. It is all the more impressive compared to other popular toys on the market, such as AI-powered toys whose popularity are on the rise. While many families are interested in these toys, experts warn that they are not safe for kids to use.

“[This toy told kids] where to find a variety of potentially dangerous objects including knives, pills, matches and plastic bags,” warned the U.S. Public Interest Research Group, per ABC News.

“We just have no idea what these AI toys are going to do to a child’s development and to their mental health,” added Danny Katz, the Executive Director at Colorado Public Interest Research Group, explaining other dangers of toys like the Kuma Teddy. “And so, unless you want your child to be part of this experiment, we recommend that you avoid AI toys for now.”

Parents should turn to the good this holiday season and look to provide their kids with toys like Finding Jesus, rather than joining the rest of the world with toys like the AI-powered Teddy Bears which harm their children rather than edifying them.
