Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud focused on “growth” this year as he has lead his team to a 10-5 season so far.

Stroud, who remains fairly quiet on social media, shared several on-field photos from the past month or so and captioned the post, “Growth.”

Stroud also included Galatians 2:20, which reads, “I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God,  who loved me and gave himself for me. ”

On Sunday, Stroud threw for 187 yards with one touchdown.

“It was ugly, but the way you want to win in December is winning — whatever it looks like, however it looks,” Stroud said in the post-game press conference. “So, I’m proud of the guys for finishing strong. We started off kind of bad in the first quarter, and then from there kind of rolled, but it starts with me. I was just missing some throws here and there, but I think all these things can be fixed. We’ve just got to keep rolling and continue to get better.”

The Texans are on their longest win streak since 2018 (nine wins). Despite the long streak, the Texans are still one behind the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC South division, per CBS Sports.

“I think getting 10 wins in three years that I’ve been here is super cool. That’s something that’s dope, but right now our focus is getting to the playoffs and going from there,” Stroud said of the streak. “What DeMeco and our front office started here has been amazing, and to be a part of it has been special.

“I remember being here in Week 2 of my rookie year against the Colts, and it wasn’t what it is now,” the quarterback continued. “To see it progress, to see the fans be into it — even though they were booing for half of the game — it’s been cool. At the end of the day, being part of this team and this organization has been amazing for me.

“If you ask our guys, we’re kind of tired of people downplaying us, but rightfully so — we haven’t put it on tape every game,” Stroud added. “I think we’re getting better offensively, and I’m as confident as ever in my guys. It’s not always going to be clean or easy, but we’re going to continue to fight for each other and push the envelope. Our defense is amazing, our special teams are great, and one day I want people to say our offense is great as well. At the end of the day, it’s all about the team and all about winning.”

The Texans look to continue their win streak this Sunday when they face the 11-4 Los Angeles Chargers. It will be a tough match-up, but Stroud is ready to regroup after a not-so-great win and focus on the goal at hand: the playoffs.
