Actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley revealed the short, simple phrase that keeps her 23 year marriage to country singer Brad Paisley going strong.
“I heard Jamie Lee Curtis say recently, the secret is ‘Don’t leave,’” she told Fox News Digital. “I thought that was really, actually brilliant. Yeah, just know there’s gonna be ups and downs and don’t give up. That was our secret.”
Williams-Paisley shared that more than just “not leaving,” spouses need to be intentional about their commitment to one another.
“We find time, we have to be deliberate about it,” she said. “And I mean, we’re married 23 years now. And we’ve also, there’s times when we’re busier and times when we’re not. And right now I’m busier and, you know, he’s about to start a tour this summer, which will make him busy. But when we have the downtime, we really make the most of it.”

Recently Williams-Paisley took to Instagram to share a sweet photo reel to celebrate her anniversary with her husband.
“23 years today (we think, but math isn’t our strong suit). Find yourself someone you can laugh with, do some good with, and hang on tight with. Then repeat,” she wrote in the caption, adding, “Happy anniversary @bradpaisley for the twenty-somethingth time. I love you❤️❤️”
People in the comment section celebrated the sweet milestone.
“Happy Anniversary! Blessings to you both always. ❤️” one person wrote. Actress Danica McKellar chimed in, “You’re better at math than you give yourselves credit for 😁 – 2003 was a great year! Congrats!!! ❤️”
On top of prioritizing commitment in marriage, the couple also works together to help those in need. Together they created “The Store Nashville” which aims to serve families in need.
Their website states, “At The Store, we’re bringing together a dedicated community of support working to combat food insecurity in Middle Tennessee with empathy, dignity, and respect. Founded by Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley, The Store transcends traditional food aid, offering comprehensive solutions to hunger and poverty.”
John 13:34-35 says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley are examples of this as they show love to one another and the community around them.
