Forrest Frank gave fans a night to remember at the Nashville stop on his Jesus Generation Tour.

“My grandad used to be the intro video at my shows, and the reason that I switched was he passed away a couple months ago,” Frank told the crowd during the massive show. “It just felt like it was the right time. It felt like he had kind of passed the baton…He loved Jesus with his whole heart. He was the spiritual role model in our family.”

Frank continued, “Our grandma was a prayer warrior. I have this memory of growing up in the same neighborhood as them and getting dropped off like once a month or something. My grandmother would be putting her hand over my head and she’d be praying in this language that I didn’t understand. Now that I’m older and a little more mature, I understand she was speaking in a heavenly language, and she spoke that language over me every day of my life.”

“There are a lot of reasons I shouldn’t be here today and a lot of reasons you shouldn’t be here today, but here we are,” he said. “Could it be that we are here today because somebody prayed for us?”

Towards the end of the show, Frank brought out author, speaker and podcaster Sadie Robertson Huff, who told the crowd, “What an honor it is to be a part of the Jesus generation. I just want to make sure that everyone here tonight knows that you are a part of the Jesus generation.”

“This isn’t just one person. This isn’t just a couple of people,” she continued. “This is for everybody — every nation, every tribe, every tongue, every old person, every young person,” she added. “There will never be another day in your life that you will not know you are loved, that you are cared for, that you are chosen, that your breath has a purpose, that your life has meaning.”

In a recent interview with KHOU11, Frank reflected on the success of his current tour.

“This whole journey of making Christian music has just been so beyond me, so I can’t even really fathom anything,” he joked

Frank also spoke about his late grandfather, saying, “He was so proud, not because of my success, but just because I spoke about Jesus. That’s really all he was excited about.”

The singer-songwriter announced his grandfather’s death late last year, posting a video of him on Instagram.

“Today, my grandad went to be with Jesus. This was him watching a sermon he gave back in 1985. I used it as the intro for my album and tour,” he wrote over a video of his grandfather watching the intro to one of Frank’s shows. “I loved walking on stage after this because of what it meant: I am the product of prayers, promises and blessings. We named our new son after you, grandad. One day, I will get to see you again. Until then, I will spend my time doing what you did best, spreading the name of Jesus.”

Frank’s strong family foundation of faith has helped him spread the gospel to audiences around the country on his tour.
