The episode begins with a tense business meeting aboard the yacht, Best Kind. James Endicott, president of Waterfront AI, and his business partner, Veronica Goodman, pitch a software deal to businessman James Kaufman. Kaufman’s wife, Andrea, attends the meeting. Kaufman rejects the proposal and humiliates Endicott and Veronica before they disembark.

Meanwhile, Kaufman continues his rudeness toward the staff, demanding a deckhand deliver a drink to his room. Captain Sirocco runs a tight ship and maintains professionalism, directing deckhand Blaine to serve the requested drink. Andrea Kaufman awakens from a nap on the deck. On returning to their room, she discovers her husband’s lifeless body.

Hudson and Rex arrive at the crime scene and find Kaufman shot in the chest with a spear gun. To complicate matters, a thief has stolen Kaufman’s prized watch which he never removed. Hudson must uncover the killer before that person takes another victim. The suspect list includes numerous enemies Kaufman wronged. Hudson follows clue after clue, knowing whoever took the watch leads to the murderer. Can he find the killer before they strike again?
