Obama’s ‘Stimulus’ Plan Deprives Some of Medical Treatment

Many people, especially the elderly and those who have “atypical” conditions or who need experimental treatments, will be denied medical care under the “stimulus” bill signed by President Obama on February 17, according to healthcare expert Betsy McCaughey, chairman of the Committee to Reduce Infection Deaths, constitutional scholar and former Lieutenant Governor of New York (1995-1998).

The bill slows the development and use of new medications and technologies because they drive up costs. It also encourages elderly patients to forego treatment of many conditions that come with old age.

The provisions are similar to former regulations in the United Kingdom where it took nearly three years of protests to do away with a rule that said elderly patients had to wait until they went blind in one eye before they could get a costly new drug saving their eyesight!

Is this President Obama’s idea of government-run healthcare, aka socialized medicine? It certainly doesn’t sound humane or enlightened, much less caring!
